Team Lead, Publisher Recruitment


Job description: The ideal candidate is a driven, self-motivated, professional who can lead a team and exceed revenue goals. This position reports directly to the Director of Ad Network Development and is located in Montreal. You will be responsible for establishing new partnerships with quality publishers, strategically chosen to grow, enhance and compliment existing inventory base. This position requires someone with a strong business development acumen and a complete understanding of Redux Media’s overall network strategy. Most importantly, the ideal candidate must be goal-oriented and have the ability to drive themselves and a team which they will grow to reach and exceed these targets.

Location: Montreal 

Expectations:

  • Inbound and outbound daily lead activity with prospective partners via telephone, email and face to face meetings
  • Strategically identify opportunities to grow inventory
  • Negotiate rates and terms with publishers
  • Account management and retention of existing customer base
  • Will work closely and communicate often with other departments such as Traffic/Operations, Billing, Sales and Marketing
  • Maintain and monitor expected levels of inventory quality
  • Provide weekly/monthly revenue reports and performance reviews for yourself and team
  • Ability to travel, present to and meet with partners across North America and at industry events
  • Become proficient in third party technology tools such as Yieldmanager, AppNexus, Salesforce & Comscore


Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in online marketing, media buying, advertising or similar fields
  • University/College Degree
  • Ability to demonstrate management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English (French an asset)
  • Knowledgeable about industry trends, competition and the makeup of the ad network landscape

Publisher Manager


Job description: The Publisher Manager (PM) is a hybrid role: part media planner and part account manager. It is the PM who is expected to have a complete and unquestioned understanding of their assigned client’s media business and know which of their publisher accounts to match it up with. They are also expected to have an understanding of advertisers overall business and marketing objectives.

The PM is steward of the media planning process and is expected to provide mid-level strategic recommendations to the senior media team and/or the client. The position is usually supported by the Campaign Manager who looks after the majority of reporting an billing. The PM is expected to have a strong working knowledge of the media space (including traditional media) and available media research. They are also expected to be proficient with current media tools (ad serving, research, CRM, etc) and procedures (both media and inter-department). The PM must also be proficient in finding and recruiting potential partner sites to place advertising campaigns on.
